It was one of the main stops in the period of Silk Road and because of that, you can see there different finds from 9-11 centuries in Museum.
In the ancient Arabic language, Burana translates as « minaret ». The legend says it was built by a king to protect his only daughter after a prophet had predicted that she would die from a Black Widow spider bite. Your guide will share a full story during the excursion.
Repeated earthquakes damaged the minaret. It was restored in the 1970s, when there were fears the tower could collapse.
