It is located only 150 kilometers from Bishkek and it will not be difficult for us to get to there. People adore this area: there are beautiful lakes, from here groups of hikers and equestrians walk through the mountains to Issyk-Kul lake and it is especially pleasant to spend a day here in silence, enjoy the beauty of the Kyrgyz mountains and feel the coolness of the mountain air.

You will be amazed by the diversity of landscapes: fields, rivers, hills, high mountains, rivers, lakes and glaciers - all this makes Chon-Kemin an unforgettable place to relax. Horse riding is the best option to experience fully the atmosphere of this fascinating place.

People think that it is just the usual tower, however, this tower has a big history. People can not determine exactly at what century was built that tower, however by different versions it was built in 9-11 centuries. The Burana Tower is the only architectural structure that has survived to our days from the once majestic ancient city of Balasagun, located 70 km from Bishkek. Now you can see there Burana Tower, however earlier it was a place where Karahanid empire lived. It was one of the main stops in the period of Silk Road and because of that, you can see there different finds from 9-11 centuries in Museum.

In the ancient Arabic language, Burana translates as « minaret ». The legend says it was built by a king to protect his only daughter after a prophet had predicted that she would die from a Black Widow spider bite. Your guide will share a full story during the excursion.

Repeated earthquakes damaged the minaret. It was restored in the 1970s, when there were fears the tower could collapse.
