Your guide meets you at your hotel in Bishkek in the morning, and your journey toward Issyk-Kul Lake begins. The first stop is the historic Burana Tower, one of Kyrgyzstan’s most important Silk Road monuments. Your guide will share the story of this 11th-century minaret before you climb to the top for wide views over the Chuy Valley and distant Tian Shan mountains.

As you continue east, the scenery becomes more dramatic. Along the way, there is an optional stop at Konorchek Canyon. Guests who enjoy light adventure can take a short hike through the canyon’s beautiful red rock formations, while others may prefer to continue directly and enjoy a more relaxed journey toward the lake.

Next continue east toward the beautiful Barskoon Gorge, one of the most famous valleys along Issyk-Kul’s southern shore. Surrounded by pine forests and mountain peaks, you will hike to the stunning Barskoon Waterfalls where fresh glacier water cascades down steep cliffs into the valley below.

After around two hours, you arrive in the beautiful Altyn Arashan Gorge, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, pine forests, and green alpine meadows.

This day is flexible and easy to enjoy at your own pace. There are many activities to choose from: relaxed walks in the valley, scenic hiking, horseback riding, and the famous natural hot springs.
